Council for America's First Freedom
The mission of the Council for America's First Freedom is to increase understanding and respect for religious freedom in diverse communities worldwide, through education about this core human value: the freedom of thought, conscience and belief. Its education calls attention to the significance of the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom (1786) in the development of religious freedom. The organization is currently developing a First Freedom Educational Center and a First Freedom Monument in Richmond, Virginia.
